It's our belief that the best quality food is produced in a sustainable and ethical manner. This is why we source all our potatoes as close as possible to our markets.
It works like this: We support local farms and they in turn provide local jobs - it keeps money in the local economy.
We always strive to return to our growers the fairest price possible for their produce and we are totally opposed to below cost selling of Irish produce.
We believe it's better to pay a little extra for quality rather than cash in when produce is plentiful.
Our packaging is 100% recyclable and all of our packaging by-product is sent for recycling.
In April 2014 we began to record the distance from the field of origin to our customers. We include this information on our packaging as much as possible. As far as we are aware, we are the only potato company in Ireland providing this information. We have a low-carbon footprint, and we're happy to shout about it!
